Barry J O'Gorman, Author of bluereek

Barry J O’Gorman is the author of blueereek.

Barry focuses on innovative use of information technology in business and organisations. In particular he is looking at opportunities for businesses to adopt web 2.0 and web 3.0 technologies. He is also working with a number of people to research possible new tools/ applications in the area of linked data and the semantic web.

Barry has worked with a large number of Irish and multinational businesses over the last 25 years. He is a computer engineering graduate of Trinity College Dublin and is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. He has wide ranging experience in IT strategy, Buisness Process Reengineering and Change Management. He has also worked with several start up companies in Ireland and UK.

Barry is a director of Ciall (www.ciall.com) and Mercury Engineering (www.mercury.ie).

Barry is married, has three children and lives in Dublin, Ireland. His other interests include piano, golf, GAA, 20th Century history, the Irish diaspora, Wesport (Co. Mayo).
